Terms of Service

1. Who may use bSpell

• Accounts may only be created by adults (18+): parents, legal guardians, or authorized representatives of schools and organizations.
• Children use bSpell only through player profiles created for them by an account holder who has completed the parental consent step. The account holder is responsible for all activity on the profiles they create.
• You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.

2. Parental consent

By creating a player profile for a child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have obtained verifiable consent from the child's parent or legal guardian (for example, as their teacher or coach), and you consent to the collection and use of the child's information as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Plans, billing, and cancellation

• The free plan has usage limits (such as players per account and games per day) that may change.
• Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; by subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms.
• You can cancel any time from the billing page; your plan remains active until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Prices may change; we will give notice before changes take effect on renewal.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use bSpell for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access accounts, profiles, or data that do not belong to you.
• Cheat, manipulate scores or leaderboards, or interfere with rate limits and security controls.
• Upload word lists or content that is offensive, harmful, or inappropriate for children.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with child safety taking priority.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the custom word lists and content you add. You grant us a license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for your account. You are responsible for ensuring content you add is appropriate for the children in your account.

6. Our service

bSpell, including its games, design, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. We work to keep bSpell available and safe, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, for child-safety reasons, or if required by law. Upon termination, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify account holders by email or in-product notice before the changes take effect. Continuing to use bSpell after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
